Anyone with access to CJIS information must take Security Awareness Training on an annual basis. Levels of Security Awareness Training: Unescorted Access ( Old Level 1), General User (Old Level 2), Privileged User (Old Level 3), Organizational User (Old Level 4). 


Use Comply to facilitate this mandated training.  Simply duplicate the template and assign to applicable employees. Once the compliance item has been assigned, clear and concise instructions guide employees to review the Security Awareness Training powerpoint. Once completed, employees print, sign, and upload a document as evidence and proof of completion. When the compliance item is submitted by the employee, the district office facilitates a chain of approval and the item is complete. 


Levels of Security Awareness Training:


  1. Unescorted Access: (Authorized Persons to CJI/ Unescorted Access): those who could view Criminal History Record Information during the course of their normal job functions.
  2. General User: (Physical and logical access): those who directly view and directly handle hard copy Criminal History Record Information. 
  3. Privileged User: (Physical and logical access): those with direct access to Pa Safe Check and who directly view/handle Criminal History Record Information.
  4. Organizational User: (IT personnel): those who are responsible for IT, and who may view Criminal History Record Information.  



Important Note - All completed questionnaires/forms and uploaded evidence are documented within the system and, if desired, can be printed by the employee and/or administrators.
