What’s New in Comply Requests

With the latest update (now live), districts can configure request submissions with more precision, including:

Seat-Based Sign-Up Restrictions

Schools often allow employees to select professional development sessions that align with their individual interests and needs. Using Requests to manage sign-ups helps track attendance and enforce limits on the number of participants.

Our latest enhancement introduces seat overbooking protections, including automatic disabling of draft submissions once the seat limit is reached. This allows administrators to create In-service Request Items with confidence, knowing that attendance caps will be respected.

Optional Submission Deadlines

Teachers often have demanding schedules, which can make it challenging to meet sign-up deadlines. Typically, once a Request's "End Date" has passed, it disappears from Available Requests. Now, if a user has started a Request and it's still in "Draft" status, administrators can decide whether it may be submitted after the End Date.

To enable this option, simply toggle the setting under "Allow submissions of draft items created during availability" from the default "Only during availability window" to "After availability has expired."

Submission Count Limits

In certain situations, it's important to restrict how many times a user can submit a Request. To prevent multiple submissions for the same item, administrators can set a per-user submission limit.

When seat count is enabled, each user is limited to a single submission. When this feature is enabled under "User Request Submissions," the submission limit is automatically set to 1.

Visual Indicators

With limited Request submissions, users now see an icon for previously submitted items. The icon appears in the Submissions Column on the Available Requests page, making it easy to track what's already been submitted.

If a user tries to view or resubmit a Request, a message will appear on the right side of the screen indicating that the item has already been submitted or that submission limits apply.
